Hi, I just made marshmallow fondant from scratch a few days ago and when i went to roll it out there were little tears all around the fondant. I was wondering if someone knew what i could do better or if you have another fondant recipe. I used the Wilton marshmallow fondant recipe.
thanks

I use this recipe and have never had a problem with it: http://www.cakejournal.com/archives/how-to-make-marshmallow-fondant/

As for the tearing, I'm a bit of a noob but I'd say more shortening if it's too dry or more powdered sugar if it's too thin, both can cause cracks but it's usually salvageable.

Try kneading it with some shortening to soften it up. When you make it in the future, you may want to experiment with other MMF recipes that add glycerine or corn syrup to help with pliability.
