I've had my mixer for a few years now and have never had any problem with it. Tonight when I was making buttercream it started making this odd noise and shaking and vibrating as it mixed. I turned it off quickly to make sure the bowl was attached properly and it was. The shakiness isn't so bad on low but it's definitely not as smooth as it usually is. When I put it on medium or high though it looks like it might shake right off the counter. I love my mixer and I don't want it to die! Is there anything I can do to fix it?
It's a 6qt professional series 600.
Check underneath it is the rubber feet all there??
my mom's Classic model is doing this. I have to hold the head firmly in place as it's mixing to keep if from wobbling. I think there is a screw or a pin or something that needs to be adjusted to hold the head in place. I just asked this question on another thread about KA
Make sure it's adjusted properly. The blade may be scraping the bowl.
Thanks guys! I checked the feet; all there. I found another thread here on cc about how to adjust it and that worked. It's running perfectly again! Happy happy me!
where did you find the thread about adjusting it?? Mine is doing the same.
yes, please tell us the other thread... I have the same problem with my KA professional. This is the reason why I was on here today.
Is this the thread???
This is the post that told me how to adjust my mixer.
