I've had my butter sitting out for more than a few hours in hopes that I would make my buttercream tonight...now that it's late and I have other things to do, I'd rather make it tomorrow..

Is it ok to put the butter back in the fridge until tomorrow, or will the quality/texture/consistency be affected by the multiple shifts in temperature?

THanks!!

I've done that many times..the butter will be fine. It doesn't hurt to put it back into the fridge. thumbs_up.gif

Growing up we always had bread & butter on the table. I don't think the butter every saw the inside of the frig! LOL

I don't re-refrigerate butter. Once it's out, it's fine to stay out. icon_smile.gif

I do the same thing.

OP - Just place in a cool area of your kitchen out of direct sunlight. You'll be fine.
