I have some left over icing from a cake I did and I was wondering if I have enough to ice a 8" cake. Could someone please tell me about how much icing it would take to ice an 8" cake so I can see if I am going to need to make more before I color the icing.

Thanks

an 8" cake would take about 4.5 cups of icing (2 layer).

Go to www.wilton.com/cakes/making-cakes/baking-party-cake-2-inch-pans.cfm for a valuable chart...has all the pan sizes, batter amounts, icing amounts, etc
