Do you use a different recipe for the petit fours or do you use your go to cake recipe? Also, do you use a specific petit four icing or would it be ok to melt my buttercream icing, tint it, then pour it? TIA!

I use my go-to cake recipe.
And I do indeed GENTLY melt my standard buttercream for dipping (dipping works better than pouring for me). thumbs_up.gif

I rather like making petit fours; I just wish more people would order them!

Hello. How do you "melt" your buttercream. Do you mind sharing? icon_smile.gif
