icon_smile.gif Ok so my mom and I are new to the cake biz. We did a cake last weekend were we made monkeys out of candy clay (from a recipe on cc). It molded well but due to our very humid weather we had to use toothpicks in their legs and arms to help them stay together. icon_cry.gif Any suggestions for us on how to fix this in the future? Help please!

Welcome to CC! I put mine in the oven with the light on - of course you will have to keep everyone away from it! The warmth from the light helps the drying process. I've see where others use a fan, but in hot humid weather, I use the oven as little as possible, so I get more oven time for drying.

Thanks so much for the tip. We tried it with our wrestling cake last week and it worked beautifully. Thanks again!
