I am making a winter wonderland cake and need a good recipe for pure white icing. I am putting it on a vanilla butter cake. I also need a recipe for something that I can use in the cricut cake machine. I don't want to buy fondant or gumpaste. I want to make my own that tastes good.

Indydebi's buttercream recipe is a white/white icing.

I make Michele Foster's fondant and use it exclusively. You can find the recipe here on cc. I don't own a cricut so I don't know if you can use it in the cricut or not. Maybe someone that does know will post on your thread.
As far as taste...Michele Foster's taste better than any other fondant that I've had and for workability and pliability it's 'hands down' the best I've ever worked with.
