Hi Cakers!

I just wanted to post a personal Thank you to Sharon Z! All of her DVD's have helped me out beyond anything else. Her latest DVD
"Back to Basics" is a must!! There is a lot of helpful cake information in this DVD that I have not found anywhere else.

Yes she is. Not only are her DVD's so helpful but she also post helpful info in these threads. I think she's awesome as well.

Sharon Z is amazing! I can't count the times her advice on these forums has helped me, can't quantify the improvement in my cakes since buying her dvds, and can't thank her enough for the times she's personally helped me!

I couldn't agree more with any of these posts. I just watched the newest dvd, Back to Basics, for the second time. Sharon takes you through the entire process...from how to preheat your oven to a beautiful finished cake. I have ALL of her DVDs....if you don't, Back to Basics is the PERFECT one to start with. She truly knows her stuff and is more than willing to share her secrets with anyone who asks (and believe me, I've asked plenty of questions!!). I was fortunate to be able to take one of her classes.....my BEST caking memory ever!! Seriously, you will learn soooo much from her DVDs. What more can I say....she IS Da Bomb!!

KayMc - topics in Back to Basics are many -- the right way to preheat your oven, preparing your pans (3 different ways), heating cores, leveling your cake, torting, filling and icing your cake, covering cake boards, recipes, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend this DVD to anyone and everyone.

I don't agree with the amazing part, But I am very glad you are finding the DVDs halpful. That is my goal: to provide you with all the detailed information you need to be successful, and to hopefully decrease the frustration level a bit that can occur in caking.

I don't think I would have continued caking if I hadn't purchased the perfecting the art of buttercream. I have almost all of them, I still need to order back to basics and sheetscakes Who knew sheetcakes could be so cool.

I just ordered the sheet cake DVDs. I have most of the others. I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival. I'm sure they will be just a interesting and full of information as the others!

Yes, she is the best! I got my "Flawless Fondant" dvd last week. I can't wait to do another fondant cake now (I've done like four but still). Maybe, I get that "Back to Basics" also.
