Need black for cake for tomorrow morning. Ran out of gel color earlier, so I made a special trip to get powder color because I read somewhere it's more effective.
Nope. Not feeling it. My bc is still freaking CHARCOAL!
It's only been sitting a few hours since adding the powder, so I'm on the fence about whether I should drop everything right now and go to Michael's to get some gel color, wasting a good 45 - 60 min. or whether this powder will magically kick in at some point and I will wake up in the morning with a cake that has turned miraculously from grey to black.
I tried taking a tiny amount and mixing it with powder to see if anything would happen and it's still charcoal grey. It's Chefmaster, btw.
The grey icing is already on the cake?
