I am making a 2 layer (2 cakes each layer) cake and covering with fondant. My question is how do i stack the layers? Do I cover each layer (2 cakes) then stack over the fondant? or do I need a plastic cake separator for support?? Help soon, please!!
You bake, level, torte (if you choose to) fill, let settle, crumb coat, bc and then fondant each tier.
Then you set one on top of the other and yes you
need a support system. You must use support every 4" of vertical height.
