The customer just called and wants to change white cake to yellow. I am using the Pillsbury cake mix. I know I can add the whole eggs, but should (can I?) I add a little yellow color?

I appreciate your opinion.

Thank you!

You could, but I don't know if you should. Why not spring for a whole new cake mix?

I would just use whole eggs, that will color it naturally. It won't be as yellow as a yellow cake mix, but will taste the same.

egg yolks and food coloring ..... that's what I do, simply because the yellow cake mixes SUCK as far as I'm concerned!

That's the answer I wanted to hear. I didn't want to have to go out and buy more cake mix. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.
