I was reading the "What to charge for this Toy Story 3 Cake?" post and someone said that they would be afraid to sell the cake because it would be illegal, it had toy figures on it. So is it illegal to sell the toy figures? Would it be okay to sell fondant figures that you make that look like disney figures?

No, you can not reproduce a copyrighted item in anyway.
