What is a nice filling for Strawberry WASC....please include if it needs to be refrigerated or not.
What about a marshmallow filling? Or a chocolate filling, you could get hot fudge ice cream topping. Neither need to go in the fridge.
i just did a similar cake.
i did the strawberry scratch wasc cake. between the torted layers i put down vanilla buttercream and then a layer of real strawberry filling.
16 oz. frozen strawberries, pureed
1/2 cup sugar
3 heaping tablespoons of cornstarch mixed with 3 tbs water
1 tsp vanilla
heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
it was very good and nobody felt "over-strawberried", lol.
