I found some neon stars by Betty Crocker (confetti candy) and they matched the colors for this one party I'm doing, so I decided to throw some into a WASC for a funfetti cake. I haven't cut into it yet, but the stars are clearly visible around the dome, like they didn't melt. Do you think this is going to make the cake crunchy?

Are jimmies usually the only way to make funfetti, or are other decorating shapes used? I'm afraid I'll need to pitch it and bake a new one.
