I was on CC the other day and came across a recipe for Strawberries N creme filling. You mix 2 - 8oz of cream cheese with a sleeve of strawberries. I was wondering if this need to refrigerated at any point. I do this as a hobby and don't have any room in the frig. icon_cry.gif Thanks! Kati

Not only will the CC spoil, but the sleeve fruits are only safe until they hit the O2. Then you are on the mold time clock.

So if I use a sleeve for filling it needs to be refrigerated? Sorry I have never used a sleeve.

Me neither, lol! I just use regular jams/preserves for my fruit needs. They will also mold, tho.
I sometimes make veg shortening BC and add flavor oils, occasionally using color to make my point.
Try the LorAnn brand cheesecake and strawberry oils and see how that would taste.
For a 4 quart mixing bowl I would use a bit more than 1/4 tsp cheesecake and a bit less than 1/4 tsp fruit oil. To start. Play around with them until your taster cannot tell the difference between the two. HTH.
