I am making my first wedding cake for my best friend's wedding. She loves shimmery and sparkly things so I was planning on covering the cake in luster dust (first time using it). How much luster dust might it take to cover a 12, 10, 8, and 6 inch round cake? I can buy it in 2 or 4 grams or 3/4 oz. The store is 40 minutes away and I only want to go once. Which amount would you recommend? Any other advice for using luster dust?

wow! if you're talking about covering the whole cake you are going to need a LOT! icon_lol.gif Luster dust can be mixed with vodka, vanilla extract, or lemon juice to cover in a liquid. without knowing what you are going to be doing to the cake I would advise to just get a few bottles of the one color you are going to be using.

sorry I couldn't help futher
