Can anyone tell me why my 12" wasc cake cracked. When I
picked it up it broke into four pieces. I tried to stick it together
with icing but i don't think it will work. What happens when they
cut it? It's a square cake. TIA icon_cry.gif

More info would be helpful. icon_smile.gif

Such as which specific recipe you used (since WASC is almost a generic term now that they're SO MANY different recipes).

At what point did your cake crack, i.e., when you were turning it out of the cake pan, when you were transferring it to the cake board, etc.

You know what you're thinking, but we only know what you tell us.... icon_lol.gif

I agree with Jan. Without knowing when it cracked it's' kind of hard to help.

Were you taking it out of the pan? Were you moving it from the cooling rack? to the cooling rack?

Or did it crack on the cooling rack while cooling?
