can you use chips to make ganache or do you have to use baking chocolate or are they the same? i thought i had heard chips have stabilizers in them, but maybe they are in both?

I have used chocolate chips with no problem.

You can you chips, like nestle, or ghirardelli - just remember the better the chocolate - the better the ganache.
