...AND I'M ECSTATIC ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!

a friend of mine sent me an email the other day with a link to "this really funny site, cakewrecks". I wrote her back, thanking her for thinking of me, and telling her that it's a great site I used to visit every day, but hadn't been there in several months. So I'm sitting there thinking, why the heck haven't I been there in so long?, and so I hop on over to the site for a much needed laugh.

I look at some of the archived posts and come across the "sunday sweets" section for the fourth of july cakes. I'm scrolling down, in awe of all the awesome cakes, and suddenly I'm seeing ONE OF MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the Fort McHenry one that is celebrating the writing of our national anthem with the ship on top and the wire rockets bombing the fort.

I AM OVER THE MOON, AND SO DARN EXCITED!! We've had a hellish last few months with ton of medical emergencies, the most important one being open heart surgery on my 44 yr old husband, so this is a huge bright spot in a rough year!!!!! and just think...i would have never know if my friend hadn't sent me the link and reminded me to go there!

Well sure, you're there for GOOD reasons! I'm not so quick to laugh since I could easily be on there for a real cake wreck. It's a really well done cake and a well deserved and wonderfully timed boost.

Your cake was so cool, and the one from Nunuk has been in my favorites since like 2006 I think! I jumped when I saw it there on Sunday Sweets! It was practically the first one I ever saved here. So cool!
