I have been searching FOREVER for a good, light, fluffy, made from scratch-not WASC- white cake. I have a recipe for a good "dense" white cake, but not a light one. Anyone? I'm tired of trying so many and finding nothing goodicon_sad.gif

Welcome to "The White Scratch Cake Seekers" club! I've tried probably at least a dozen different recipes and have yet to find one that's edible....yes, that even includes the much revered WASC. They end up either dry, crumbly, tasteless, rubbery, or just plain gross. icon_cry.gif I don't know what it is with white scratch cakes but this topic comes up on a regular basis and I've not yet found a recipe that I would consider serving to anyone. So far a doctored white box mix is all I'm comfortable serving.

Greaticon_sad.gif I have an awesome chocolate cake recipe. I wonder what would happen if I just omit the cocoa?
