Hi all, I have a zillion cookie favours to make for my friend's wedding. i've done a few in the past in small amounts but this is LOADS! I can't seem to find a previous recipe I had and wondered if anyone has a great one for lovely cookies that I can decorate with RI. Also have a couple of questions a) how far in advance can I make them b) can I freeze the cookie dough and for how long
Thanks if anyone has some advice

Hi, welcome to CC!

There are a lot of really, really talented cookie decorators on here that would be glad to help answer any questions that you have. There are also a lot of really, really informative threads in the cookie section of the forum. Here are a few to get you started about the things you mentioned...

recipes: her are links to 3 that seem to be discussed a lot, but there are others.... I love the NFSC recipe (no fail)!

freshness/how far in advance: I have a "5-day" rule - no more than 5 days from making the dough to delivering, but that's just me. Many people have success with a longer time-frame, and people have done "experiments" and they are still fresh much longer than 5 days.

freezing cookies: they can be frozen (either before or after decorating with RI).

hope that helps!
