I am using wiltons icing dyes to color my fondant. Can I also use them to paint my gumpaste flowers?? I don't know if the dye will stay and dry or if this is completely wrong. Any ideas? Trying not to run to store...again. icon_confused.gif

I use Wilton gel colors to paint with and they are great for small accents on flowers and things that you wont be touching. When I paint large areas I use airbrush colorings. Its a lot like water color.

If you thin the colors with alcohol they will dry better, though I have had some remain a little tacky.

You can also use petal dusts (you just dry brush those one) to add colors and accents to your flowers.
