I just have a random question...

Anybody know offhand how much it costs to get well water tested for pollutants?

Just curious. (No I don't have well water right now...I'm licensed here.)

I had to get our well tested for my shop...I took iy into the County Hospital (water lab) It was $20.00 which included sending the appropriate parties their copy as well as mine.

I think it costs me about $80 to have the Health Dept. check my water annually.

I think it depends on where you are, who does the test and what you get the water tested for (bacteria, minerals, etc.). I just had my water tested by the state lab and it cost me $30 but it they had several options for testing and the prices varied for each test.

I didn't realize, but annual follow-up tests are cheaper. it cost me around $80 for the initial bacteriological test, but my annual re-tests are only $15 (just got the bill today).
