Could I just substitute margarita mix for the milk in my buttercream recipe? Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

I've never used margarita mix, but I use juice all the time, in place of or in addition to both vanilla (or any other liquid flavoring) and milk. So it should work...since the margarita mix is sweetened, the BC may come out quite sweet. You may want to add some salt.
