hello fellow cake people. I have a cake decorating contest coming up and i really would like to do a cake for my mother who was just diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago. her chemo is going good but it is really making her 'down' and i thought this would cheer her up. any ideas please post.

How large of a cake?

How about something like this one that I did:

But instead of X's and O's you could do the breast cancer ribbons? And maybe instead of the hearts, you could add more stripes, or dots...and then do some cute fondant ribbon roses here and there on the cake?

Something colorful & cheery; something that is special to her; a cake using
her favorite colour(s)......anything you make for her will be loved.
Prayers are there for your Mom. I know what she is going through as my husband
had a 2nd hit of lung cancer is now undergoing chemo.
Keep smiling, pray & keep busy!!
