What is the best recipe for a 3d carved cake? Would it be ok to use the DH cake box recipe? Or do I need something more sturdy? Appreciate any help on this. Thanks

I would use the WASC cake. You can find it here in the recipes section, here's a quick link: http://cakecentral.com/recipes/7445/the-original-wasc-cake-recipe It's an adapted cake mix recipe and it doesn't have any oil in it so it makes a very sturdy cake almost like a pound cake. I've used it with all different flavor combos too, everyone loves it and it's easy to work with.
