I did a search on google for banana custard filling, found one and had to give it a try. But the recipe I found is like to fill 100 cakes with it!

I had extremely so much left over and using real bananas....don't have to tell you what it looked like after sitting to cool for a few hours. It did not look at all appetizing.

Does anyone have a Banana custard filling to cover a 8 or 10 inch cake with out having extremely too much left over they are willing to share?

How about using banana instant pudding? I have a cake to do this weekend and am using french vanilla pudding to make the filling.

does it come out real thick? I'm looking for something as thick as the buttercream icing, so it does not ooze out of the cake when trying to frost it.

I had so much trouble with the recipe I found on the internet.

As long as you make the icing dam it should not ooze out.
