In Alabama you aren't allowed to have a home based kitchen business. Does anyone know where I can find the regulations for a bake sale for a fundraiser if there is any? I wouldn't advertise a business because I'm not actually in business so I think it'd be ok but didn't want to get in trouble anywhere.

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Whoo Hoo!! I'm in Auburn too! icon_biggrin.gif I wouldn't think you would have to be licensed or anything to have a bake sale.

I have a friend that runs a business from her home. I don't know about the regulations or anything, but I'm pretty sure that she has a license. Her and her husband added another building on their property and that's where she works from.

Yes, you can have a licensed home-based baking business, but you have to have a separate kitchen from the kitchen that you prepare home meals in, so basically you have to have 2 kitchens at home. You can convert a garage, extra room or outbuilding.
