Fluffy Frosting

Does anyone have a good, fluffy frosting recipe for cupcakes that doesn't call for shortening? I want one that will stay stable @ rm temp & hold it's shape.

Do kids usually like it? The cc will be for a "tea party" photo shoot with kids. They will be frosted with pastel colors. Does this type take color?
