I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I need help with figuring out what size pans to use to make a round topsy turvy cake to feed 50 people. I have made a few before but I'm always never sure the servings after I carved & slanted the tiers. I'm hoping to end up with tiers that after carved look well porportioned. What I mean by that is I don't want the tiers to look too small to be stacked on top of one another. Is there anyone out there that can offer a suggestion on what size pans to use to feed 50? Just remember that the servings quoted are for 2 layers the same size. If you're using single layers, cut that # in half.
