Can I substitute lemon Kool-aid for lemon juice in a cake recipe?

I wonder if the acidity would be the same? I really don't know if you can or not but the acidity level is what comes to mind. If it's not the same, it may cause problems.

Would help if you could post the recipe, is it the taste you need or the acidity? If it's the taste, you would have to add lemon juice and zest, as kool aid is a concentrate, but a sweet one, might have to juggle the sugar as well.

Unsweetened? I would check the ingredient list. I bet you it has mostly sweetener. So you would be adding more of that then the lemon juice.

Is this what you have on hand? Or you don't want to buy a whole bottle?

Did a google search, which I suggest, and found this:


It says 1 tsp lemon juice = 1/2 tsp vinegar. I was thinking vinegar would have the acidity.
