Not sure what to use. The request is yellow cake, AMBC, and lemon filling. Should I use a pudding/pie filling sort of thing, or something made with lemon curd, or a lemon buttercream?

You can do lemon curd or you can buy some lemon sleeves from Henry and Henry. The lemon is my favorite.

I love love love lemon curd, either straight or mixed into Pastry Pride. Not sure if you have Trader Joes in VA but their lemon curd is my favorite.

We do have TJs! What is Pastry Pride? I've never seen it. Anything I can substitute for that?

cool! yep it's right next to the jellies.
pastry pride is what my cake store sells that is a shelf-stable whipped cream. I know there are different brands in different areas, I've also heard of Bettercreme?

We don't have Bettercreme locally. When I asked my cake store lady about whipped cream products she said she likes Wilton's Whipped Icing Mix. There is one other cake supply person in town, but I don't know what she carries. Would Wilton's Whipped work?
