I've never had this happen before, but I'm using a KopyKake airbrush compressor, and KromaKolor airbrush liquids. As I spray the cakes, the color almost instantly begins to fade. This has never happened to me before. And also, could it be the buttercream frosting I'm using? I notice that I need to use ALOT more food coloring than normal to make the color that I want, and it still doesn't work that well. I wonder if I need a new buttercream recipe. The one I have tastes really good, and the customers like it, but I'm willing to try new recipes. Any suggestions or help would be so appreciated. Thanks!

Are you working under flourescent lighting or near a window with sunlight?

I do believe the lights in the shop are flourescent...wow, I thought just the sunlight would fade the colors. Thank you for your quick response to this! I'll have to figure something out.
