5 tiers

scheduled for a 3 pm delivery and confirmed with the venue.

2:45 venue calls, "Where are you? We expected you at 1pm. Guests arrive between 3 and 3:30."

Venue is about 10 - 12 minutes away.

Fortunately it's a floating design. Easy to set up, but has 5 toppers, three of which we have to create on the fly with silk flowers.

And there's a street fair which closed the most direct route.

Answer about 16 minutes in the venue door to out the venue door. They were still setting up the buffet when we left.

Apparently the venue didn't know who they were talking to. Fabulous.

Who knows? They were certain they told me 1pm. I'm certain they told me 3 pm.

"Alls well that ends well."

Mine today was opposite. Contract said 4pm. Got there and they said "Ummm are you sure you want to set that up? Reception not til 8pm."

Good grief.

Well the cake was VERY heavy and no spoilable fillings, and room had decent a/c so I just set it up...didn't want them moving it around.

Wonder why the lady wanted her cake set up so early?????
