I am making an upright tombstone cake....I baked two 1/2 sheet cakes and I am planning to cut each one into three sections and stack them all on top of each other ....I intend to do the stacking/support similar to this

http://cakefixation.blogspot.com/2009/08/how-to-make-sitting-spongebob-cake.html

I am just really worried it is going to fall over during transportation. It will be about 11 inches wide, 4 inches deep and 12 inches tall.

I have done a tall cake before (the Dr.Seuss one in my photos, which was 10inches tall)

Does this sound like It is going to go okay or should I switch gears now?

like this? http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_1424092.html

then I'd do this using a wood base:

(could even do two -- one near each end)

------

are you covering it in fondant?

might you be able to lay it down on it's backside during delivery and then tip up into place?
