Hey Everyone

Is it easy to cover 1/2 sheet cakes in fondant? I was asked by a co-worker to make a cake for his engagement party/bridal shower. He asked for a sheet cake filled and covered in fondant for the icing.

I've never attempted to even cover a cake that big with fondant, and it's scaring me!

I don't have any kind of sheeter to make it wide or long enough. Is it easy to roll out that big?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

It is not complicated to cover a sheet cake. Just make sure you have a large enough surface to roll out the fondant and use the mat to flip it onto the cake. If you do not have a large enough surface or mat then do half and incorporate the seam in the design or cover it with a decorative detail.
