Hello everyone!

Well, I have a request for a 3D football cake due this weekend. My question is how do I cover it in fondant? I'll be making 2 half footballs with the Wilton football pan and then putting them together with a filling in the middle. Should I cover each half with fondant first then fill and put them together then fondant? Or fill, stack then fondant the whole thing????

Please help!

I am also doing a football and plan to do it all in one pc. I hope it works. I feel if I cover separate pcs that i might spring a filling leak.

I made a fondant covered cake with 2 cakes made from the wilton football pan. I put them together with buttercream in between them and then covered in fondant. There is a pic in my photos.
