Had to run to Hobby Lobby today for some paint for a project for our scouts. Just had to go by the cake decorating isle, and there was the cricut cake. It was priced at 399.99, put the box in my cart and rode it around debating on weather I should spend that much money on it. Decided to do it. Got to the register to check out and of course they had to go to the back to get. After they got it I was talking to the girl and told her I had never seen her there before and she said she was new. My oldest son kept texting me and I wasn't really listening to the girl, she told me that cricut's were 30% off. I said ok and then she told me that she had a 40% coupon she could use. So I ended up paying around 152 dollars for the cricut. I got home and started to think about what all I had spent. I looked at the flyer and the thirty percent off was for scrap booking. there was no forty percent off coupon. I called the store back and they told me it was there mistake and not to worry about it. Yeah for me. Now I am really excited to play with it.

Jealous! icon_lol.gif You are one lucky caker in my book! Was very nice of you to call and tell them what happened, your reward for being honest!

My boys Dad passed away 4 years ago and my middle son turned 18 in may, so he got his inheritance this weekend and he told me that he was going to buy me one, so he gave me 500 dollars to buy. When I told him what happened, he said that boy you got lucky, and I told him that I was going to give him the rest of the money back and he said no keep it and use it for what I wanted to. I really wish my 20 year old was as compassionate as my 18 and 17 year olds.

Kudos, kudos, kudos for your honesty in this situation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful example for your kids!!!!!!!!!!

We NEED so many more people like you in the universe!

This was also an excellent way to let management know that the new cashier hasn't quite gotten it right yet, so that they can educate, rather than fire, her.

She was giving away the store, really, because the flyer clearly states that the 30% DOES NOT apply to Cricut machines and the coupon this week is 30% off "wood handle rubber stamps & sets".

Hobby Lobby did right by you.

Clearly, good karma has visited you and your generous son!

I hope you have wonderful success with the machine and get many hours of joy from it!

I am really excited to get started. It may have to wait until the end of June. I have twilight camp with our cub scouts. Busy painting and doing cakes, not enough time in the day for everything. Every time I go into my den, my eye catches that box and it is like a magnet!!!! I just get to it to touch it and some one yells hey mom
