I need to use Crisco I am looking for a recipe. Thought this may work since it has meringue powder.

That used to be my go to frosting! It tastes MUCH better than the regular wilton frosting. I used half vanilla and half almond flavoring. I now use Sugarshack's recipe.

If you need to use Crisco, use Indydebi's recipe. It crusts beautifully and tastes great.

I second this! When I can't get hi ratio shortening, this is my go-to recipe.

If you use sugarshack's you don't have to buy the dream whip. (indy's recipe uses that)

The wilton snow white buttercream is still a good one to use - you can use hi-ratio or crisco to make it.

I have made all 3 of these, and sugarshacks' is the one I chose - each person has their own tastes...make all 3 and decide which one works best for you. thumbs_up.gif
