I tried Fondarific for the first time this weekend on a wedding cake and was not impressed. It didn't stick like other fondants and was easier to roll out but it was extremely rubbery. I was using the chocolate and had to keep heating in the microwave just to soften it up enough to knead and roll out. When I did get it rolled out it was like rubber. Did make it easier to place on the cake but I would hate to see someone try to cut through the fondant. I used ganache under the fondant so hopefully it helped soften things up before the cake cutting. I haven't decided whether I will try using it again. Thanks everyone for the help with the ganache questions the last couple of days it worked wonderfully under the fondant and held up in the heat (outdoor wedding). It actually worked better than my butter cream. I will be using ganache under fondant in the future.
