Hi everyone
This is my first post on here. I am currently setting up my cake business..been making cakes for years and finally taking the plunge to run my own business.

I am currently taking a cake decorating class and for my final project with have to decorate cake-it up to us what the decoration of the cake is

Im wanting to use a basketweave embosser on fondant. Do i use it before i put the fondant on the cake or after I put the fondant on the cake. What do people recommed?

Looking forward to your answers, I love this website!!

First of all, Welcome to CC! May you have many happy hours talking cake with all of your new cake friends icon_biggrin.gif

When I use that kind of embosser, I do it after I have the fondant on the cake. With all the smoothing of putting the fondant on the cake, you would lose the effect you are striving for.

Hope that helps thumbs_up.gif
