I am doing a gas tank cake and need it to be black. I hate coloring my BC black. The only brand of gels we can buy in my area is Wilton. She wants BC not fondant which I'm okay with and actually prefer. But this is my question: Can I use white BC and then make a black ganache to put over it? I have never used this but read a thread about it on Wilton's site (see link below). I trust CC and thought I would get your suggestions. This is also my 1st carved cake! Yikes! I have 3 days to figure this out and get it done.
