Ok so this was my very first Topsy Turvy cake and it did not go well at all.... Was hoping to get some advice on what to do next time.... I thought I did everything right... I cut out the centers flat and I put plenty of dowels and it still collapsed. This is my 6th or 7th cake and I learned everything from YouTube.... This is just for fun I don't sell my cakes, just make em for my family and friends... Also I used Duff's Buttercreme fondant and had a lot of trouble with it. I usually make my own MM fondant but I cant achieve the black or red without it tasting terrible.... Any Suggestions?

Hmm, Maybe there is a common factor. I too used Duff's red and black fondant and my topsy turvy cake collapsed as well. I did everything right, dowels, board, let it rest, I don't know what happened.
