You guys are so helpful and have so much knowledge. I am looking for any idea, tips or advice on how I can make sea weed, shells or what else I can use for a Nemo cake. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have used the chocolate shell molds and pressed fondant into them. You could also mix some white and milk chocolate once you pour it into the mold to get the swirly effect. You could use isomalt for the coral.

I would make the fish/creatures out of modeling chocolate. The coral could be done with royal icing or gumpaste.

I made the characters out of RKT, covered in fondant.
Chocolate shells made with molds and painted
the little purple things are just fondant
Isomalt coral
I think that's all. HTH!

Snocilla,

Would you mind telling me how you did your sand, and the silvery shells?

Thanks!!!

The shells are just painted with luster dust. I just dust it on dry. The sand is just brown sugar. A lot of people also use graham cracker crumbs, or mix the two.
