I have mixed Wilton's gumtex (not powder but made the dough) and mixed it with Michelle foster's fondant 50/50. it was fine when I rolled it and made a tiara with it but as it was drying it started cracking and it finally broke.icon_cry.gif
what is happening? I have heard this happens with wilton's gumpaste ....or did I do something wrong? How could I correct this gumpaste? any ideas?
Thanks

Maybe you should use more shortening

Wish i could help you but you're doing exactly what I do and I've never had a problem. I do prefer to add the GUm Tex powder to my fondant though because it's so much less expensive.

I use Wilton's pre made gum paste only. It works great. No problem with cracking and it dries very hard very fast.
