Help! Even Frosted Cakes

Help Im having trouble getting my cakes to be even I even cut them to be flat. It seems like to side kind of bow out? can anyone help? icon_cry.gif
Also My cakes are always crumbley?

hi is this after you fill them?did you put a dam (this prevents sides from drooping & filling from oozing out)around bottom layer before putting on the top layer?sides usually kind of bow out if there's no dam...hope this helps icon_smile.gif

I use and icing dam between the layers and let them settle for several hours - usually overnight. I had to learn this the hard way myself.

I agree with the icing dam. I have experienced the same issues myself. I think if you make sure it is level and fill it let it sit over night which will help if any settling is going to occur. Then level or trim up any uneven areas then ice.
