I can't understand why when I use the same container of Wilton pink coloring--why does my icing come out pink but the fondant is a coral color? How can I get them to match?

Is it just pink you have trouble with? What kind of fondant do you use? Is it white when you start? I recently made a pink fondant covered cake and the pink buttercream I made for the border matched almost perfectly. I always color my fondant first and then when I'm coloring my buttercream I add color a teeny tiny bit at a time until I get the match I want.

I make my own fondant and it's perfectly white. I just don't understand why it turns out peachy coraly pink when the buttercream does!
