I am looking to make a "little BIG Planet" cake for an upcoming birthday....been racking my brain to try and come up with a way to make my figure look like he's been stitched, because he is a "sackboy" Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thanks for Looking!!!
BTW - "little BIG Planet" is an adorable video game.
Hi , are you sure , that it is made, not to look like it is stitched. but to look like zipper thread(or whatever you call that) . This is what it looks like to me.
Once upon a time on Martha Stewart's show, she had someone doing cupcakes that looked like they had knitted fondant toppers. The toppers were fondant, and looked like little knitted scarves, sweaters, etc. Very cute. She did them by using a clay gun and doing like five strings of clay, then putting them side by side together and then taking a needle tool and indenting to look like the knitting. It was very easy the way she did it and it looked fabulous. I think I have a picture saved in my files, I'll have to check but I don't remember who the gal was who did this technique.
I think I found the gal who did those scarves: http://veganyumyum.com/2007/06/knit-night-cupcakes/
bobwonderbuns those scarfs are beautiful!!! Thanks for the idea!!!
You're right, she did an amazing job on them! I don't see why you couldn't use the same technique to make that little guy for a cake.
that video was great!! So informative!! I Can't wait to try this!!! Thank you sooooo much bobwonderbuns!!!
