Can someone give me the recipe for MMF? And WHAT does it taste like? I've never made it before. And, can someone tell me how to do a reverse rose? I would love any help! Is it true that after gumpaste dries, it is as hard as rock and not edible? Thanks!

There are lots of recipes for MMF. I'm partial to this one:

It tastes like....marshmallows. Soft, non-sticky marshmallows. icon_smile.gif Actually it depends on what sort of flavorings you add; if you use vanilla it's more on the marshmallow side, but if you add, say, orange oil or lemon juice, you get a sweet citrus flavor. It's pretty versatile stuff!

This may help you on reverse roses:

Aaaand gumpaste....dries hard, yes. If it's a thin item like a flower petal, it's technically edible. Big thick things like figures would be really hard to eat. I don't like to eat the stuff, but my other half loves crunching on little gumpaste flowers. Last time I made cherry blossoms I was like "Look honey, didn't these come out cute??" and he promptly snatched one up and ate it before I could stop him. Blech. And I'm glad I'd made extras cuz those were for a cake!
