Wow, I am so surprised...my latest cake made it to the "Most Saved" Group! I was happy with the look, but didn't think it would go over that well...thanks to everyone who looked and especially those of you who have saved it.

Beautiful cake. How did you paint on the fondant? Did you use food coloring. I was just talking about this to my DD today and we are trying to understand what to use.

Well, it's butter-cream icing, but I thinned gel colors with vodka, and just used very soft artist's brushes.
Ice the side of one of your cake pans to practice...the results make it look like a difficult technique, but it is really not hard, and it's fun thumbs_up.gif .
